Bruce Block, Managing Partner
Managing Partner, Bruce D. Block* graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has been practicing with the firm since 1980. Mr. Block has been a speaker for the Maryland Vocational Educational and Work Adjustment Association, the Maryland Workers Compensation Educational Association, and the Maryland Institute of Lawyers. He is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSCCR). Mr. Block’s practice focuses on representing claimants before the Social Security Administration and Workers’ Compensation Commission, as well as individuals who have been injured as a result of another’s negligence.
Corey R. Pollard, Partner
Corey R. Pollard** helps injured workers, accident victims, and disabled persons get compensation from all available sources. He represents clients in litigation matters before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, Social Security Administration (SSA), and state and federal courts in Virginia. And has helped hundreds of injury victims like you win at hearing or negotiate favorable settlements. Mr. Pollard has been listed in both Best Lawyers in Amer·ica and Super Lauyers (Rising Star) for the past several years. A graduate of the College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond School of Law, Mr. Pollard spends his spare time with his family (wife, two kids, and a ferocious five-pound dog) and friends. He enjoys playing golf, basketball, and poker and telling colleagues in our Maryland offices that the Washington Football Team will defeat the Baltimore Ravens.
Jonathan B. Dennis, Associate Attorney
Jonathan B. Dennis* was born and raised in Richlands, VA. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College. During his time at Roanoke, Jonathan played on the golf team and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, as well as a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. He earned his law degree from Appalachian School of Law. While in law school, Jonathan served as Articles Editor of the Appalachian Journal of Law and received a certificate in Natural Resources Law. He also interned at the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia under Magistrate Judge Pamela Sargent. In addition to shadowing Judge Sargent, Jonathan also researched and prepared a Report and Recommendation for a social security disability applicant’s appeal of an Administrative Law Judge’s unfavorable decision. Following law school, he moved to Maryland and was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 2016. Jonathan’s practice focuses on Social Security Disability and Maryland Workers’ Compensation. His Social Security Disability experience involves representing countless claimant’s at hearings before Administrative Law Judges as well as at the appeals counsel and federal court levels. Jonathan has also handled numerous hearings before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Erica Webb, Associate Attorney
Erica Webb* holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park. While attending UMD, she joined the Sigma Kappa sorority for which she served as the public relations chairman. She subsequently earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.} from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. While attending law school, Erica served as a Teaching Assistant and also served as Treasurer of the Student Insurance Law Association. She was also inducted into the Royal Graham Shannonhouse Ill Honor Society at UB. Erica began her career in the legal field in 2014, working as a paralegal for Jenkins, Block & Associates.
K. Brent Jones, Associate Attorney
K. Brent Jones** is a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County, Virginia, where he represents members of his immediate community and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Brent focuses his practice on representing the injured in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, and clients in civil litigation. His experience includes automobile accidents, premises liability, defamation, nuisance claims and construction disputes. Brent also has experience in business law, consumer protection, debt collection, and commercial and residential landlord-tenant law.Brent’s interest in becoming an attorney sparked at the young age of twelve when his father, an electrician, passed away as the result of a work accident. Brent credits watching his mother persevere through a long legal battle after his father’s passing as the driving force for becoming an attorney and helping individuals faced with similar challenges.
Brent’s comprehensive litigation experience and passion for helping people provide the background necessary to effectively guide clients throughout their case. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Appalachian School of Law. Outside of the office, Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing drums and cheering on his beloved Hokies in football and basketball.
W. James Nicoll, Partner (1969 – 2023)
W. James Nicoll* graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He completed his law degree at the University of Baltimore School of Law graduating magna cum laude in 1995. While attending law school, Mr. Nicoll was elected into the Heuisler Honor Society in recognition of his academic achievements. Mr. Nicoll has worked as an attorney with Jenkins, Block & Associates P.C. since February 1997. After gaining extensive experience representing individuals in their claims for Social Security benefits at both the administrative and appellate levels, Mr. Nicoll’s practice now focuses primarily on representing personal injury clients throughout the state of Maryland. Mr. Nicoll represents individuals who have been injured on the job, as well as individuals who have been hurt as a result of another’s negligence. In his practice, Mr. Nicoll has tried cases at the Circuit Court level in multiple jurisdictions throughout the state. Additionally, Mr. Nicoll has appeared before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Mr. Nicoll is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Association for Justice Inc.
Raymond M. Faby, Of Counsel (1931-2016)
In January of 2011, retired Administrative Law Judge Raymond M. Faby (1931-2016) joined Jenkins Block & Associates in an Of Counsel capacity. In 1953, Judge Faby* graduated from Western Maryland College and in 1960 he received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Baltimore School of Law. Between the years of 1964 and 1972 Judge Faby served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, an Assistant Public Defender for Baltimore City and a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland. Judge Faby also served as a member of the Maryland State House of Delegates from 1971 to 1972. Judge Faby was a Federal Administrative Law Judge for over thirty years, ten of which he served as Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Baltimore Office of Hearings and Appeals. Following 1980, he has been a member of the Association of Administrative Law Judges and the Federal Administrative Law Judges Conference. Judge Faby now lends his experience and knowledge to Jenkins Block & Associates.

Robert R. Jenkins
Robert R. Jenkins* (1933–2010) was one of the founding members of Jenkins, Block & Associates. Mr. Jenkins graduated from Lebanon Valley College and received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He served as chairperson for the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. Mr. Jenkins testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee on Social Security Disability matters. Mr. Jenkins has also been a speaker at a workshop for the National Joint Conference on Law and Aging. He founded the firm in 1977 and retired in 2004.
